In the Beginning

Day one... I have tried to blog so many times, but failed even more.  I never had anything to really blog about.  I can't talk about work on the Internet, my life really isn't that interesting, and I hate talking politics (it Always ends up bad).  Everyone... I MEAN EVERYONE has a crafty blog... but here I am.  I have noticed that as many crafty blogs there are, never are there two that are the same! So here goes.

I have a hubby that I will call Big B (He is 6'6'') and a little boy that will be 1 in March, I will call him Lil Mr.  I love Big B and Lil Mr. with everything I have.  Lil Mr. was actually born on my birthday most amazing birthday gift EVER!  We call it the extraction because I had an emergency c-section after 26 hours of labor... my father in law LOVES that!  I work in law enforcement, as does my husband.  No one ever said that living on a cops salary would be easy so I have had to get kind of frugal.  That will of course be part of this blog.  For example I have discovered that the average price of a six pack of individual Jell-O cups is about $2.65, a box of Jell-O brand gelatin is about $.60 I can make 8 servings of 1/2 cup of gelatin each (which is all Lil Mr. needs at a time).  My servings are a little less than the store bought servings, but it's all I need per serving and Lil Mr. never finishes a store bought size.  On top of that I can add fruit if I want or substitute half the water for fruit juice.  I'll have another Frugal example tomorrow with microwave popcorn.  You won't believe this one!

We live in the Midwest.  Not small town but after visiting Boston, Chicago, New York, Baghdad, I wouldn't really consider it big city living either.  Kind of a happy medium. Both Big B and I served our country.  He was in the Marine Corps, and I am still in the Army Reserves.  I have loved all my time in the Army even including my travels, however the thought of deployment is still a reality for me and now terrifying with Lil Mr. around.

Keep reading and learn more frugal tips, DIY projects, and just plain fun things to do!  I love Pinterst, so some of my projects may replicate others but I will give credit where credit is deserved.  All of my photos are mine, you may not use them without permission.  If they are someone else's I will have permission to use them, I will again give credit where credit is due, and you may not use those pictures without the owners permission either.
